TL;DR Review: "They Both Die at the End" Audiobook
✦✦✦✧✧ 3.5/5
Pacing: fast
Mood(s): sad, emotional
Genre(s): speculative, contemporary, romance, YA
TL;DR:
💖 M/M strangers-to-friends-to-lovers
💀 Only. One. Day.
👀 Knowing how it ends
Other: I read the audiobook and the narrators were perfectly cast! This book was a fast read that was definitely emotional in the sense that seeing characters, especially young characters, as they know they're dying is emotional, but it didn't have the time to fully develop those feelings, and it honestly didn't really need to fully develop that aspect of it. This is a shockingly lighthearted book and deserves a read, but I found myself wanting to know more about the world around the plot instead of having such an intense focus on the characters.
Content Notes:
- Graphic depictions of death, grief, anxiety, and fire and fire injury,
- Moderate depictions of violence, suicidal ideation, car accidents, familial death, and gun violence
- Minor depictions of medical content, terminal illness, "casual" racism
